Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy

Policy Statement

Rapid Fix is committed to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking in all aspects of our business operations. We recognise our responsibility to act ethically and with integrity, and we are committed to ensuring transparency in our business relationships.

Although Rapid Fix is a small business and does not fall within the mandatory reporting thresholds of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we fully support its principles and take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery.

Our Business Structure

Rapid Fix provides emergency electrical and plumbing call-out services. All plumbers and electricians engaged by Rapid Fix operate on a self-employed basis and are responsible for their own tax, insurance, and professional compliance.

We do not employ overseas workers directly and do not use recruitment agencies to source labour.

Our Commitment

Rapid Fix is committed to ensuring that:

  • All individuals engaged by us do so voluntarily

  • No person is subject to forced, bonded, or involuntary labour

  • All individuals are free to accept or decline work

  • No worker is required to pay recruitment or placement fees

  • All contractors are treated fairly and with respect

Due Diligence and Risk Assessment

To minimise the risk of modern slavery within our business, we:

  • Engage only with self-employed plumbers and electricians who can provide proof of identity and right to work in the UK

  • Require contractors to confirm they are operating independently and of their own free will

  • Avoid using labour providers or third-party agencies

  • Maintain direct communication with all contractors

Due to the nature of our business and local service model, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our operations to be low.

Responsibilities

Rapid Fix management is responsible for:

  • Promoting awareness of modern slavery risks

  • Ensuring this policy is followed

  • Taking appropriate action if concerns are raised

All contractors engaged by Rapid Fix are expected to:

  • Comply with this policy

  • Act ethically and lawfully

  • Report any concerns relating to modern slavery or human trafficking

Reporting Concerns

Any concerns or suspicions relating to modern slavery or human trafficking connected to Rapid Fix should be reported immediately. Reports will be taken seriously and handled confidentially.

Concerns can be raised by contacting Rapid Fix directly using the contact details provided on our website.

Where appropriate, concerns may also be reported to relevant authorities.

Training and Awareness

Given the size and structure of the business, formal training is not currently provided. However, Rapid Fix ensures that management understands the risks of modern slavery and remains vigilant to any indicators of exploitation.

Review of Policy

This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains appropriate and effective.

This policy was last reviewed on the 16th of December 2025.
