Customer Booking Terms

By confirming a booking with Rapid Fix Electric and Plumbing (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to the following:


1. Booking and Payment

  • Jobs are charged at the agreed hourly rate plus any necessary materials or parts.
     
  • You must pay the contractor directly when the work is complete using the payment method they accept.
     
  • Contractors are responsible for their own work from arrival to completion. Rapid Fix is not liable for contractors arriving late.
     

2. Contractor Work

  • Contractors will aim to complete the work to your satisfaction, but we cannot guarantee resolution of all issues.
     
  • Contractors are self-employed and operate under their own trade registrations, including Gas Safe registration if applicable.
     

3. Cancellation and Call-Out Fees

  • To cancel, you must notify us verbally over the phone or via email.
     
  • Cancelling without notice, or not being available when the contractor arrives, may result in a call-out fee.
     

4. Consumer Rights

  • Under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, Part 3, Clause 28(e), urgent repair bookings are not subject to cancellation rights.
     
  • By booking an urgent repair, you acknowledge this limitation.
     

5. Customer Responsibilities

  • You must ensure the work environment is safe for the contractor.
     
  • You or an authorised person must be onsite to provide access. Failure may result in work not being carried out and full charges applied.
     
  • You are responsible for obtaining permits, licenses, landlord/owner consent, and planning permission if required.
     
  • Rapid Fix is not liable for damage or defects if recommended work is not completed or fully guaranteed.
     

6. Gas Work

  • Customers are responsible for any hazardous situations related to gas, unless caused by a Gas Safe engineer.
     
  • Gas Safe engineers operate under their own registration and are solely responsible for gas work and liability.
     
  • You should verify the engineer’s ID and registration before allowing access.
     

7. Data Protection

  • Your personal data will be shared with the contractor only to carry out the booked work.
     
  • Your personal date will not be shared with anyone else unless necessary to do so.

8. Complaints

  • For complaints, contact us via info@rapidfixelectricandplumbing.co.uk or the Rapid Fix app/contact form.
     
  • We aim to respond promptly and fairly.
     

9. Acceptance

By confirming your booking, you agree to these terms and confirm that you understand your responsibilities, including payment, safety, access, and limitations on cancellation rights.
